Rubber Covered Round Base Magnets and Assemblies

- Made with compact-sized rare earth Neodymium magnets for powerful holding force (on one side only).

- Coated with black rubber to avoid contact surface scratches.

- Able to fit standard fasteners and attachments (see the corresponding size for each model).

- Max pull is tested on a ½” thick and flat machined steel plate.

But the actual pull should be much smaller if your steel is thinner, rough, rusty, coated, or not very flat.

For any critical applications, the three-time safety factor is strongly recommended.

Rubber-Coated Magnets

Small yet immensely powerful, boutique magnets are designed for holding and hanging applications on vertical and horizontal ferrous surfaces.

We manufacture rubber-coated magnets in ALB.

Thanks to our design and manufacturing capabilities, we can create custom sizes or fixings for specific needs.

We have designed our boutique magnets to provide superb shear resistance by encasing multiple rare earth neodymium magnets in rubber.

This allows the magnets to resist shear forces that would cause other types of magnets to slide along the surface on which they are mounted, and also prevents any marking of the surface.

The high pull strength of the enclosed neodymium magnets coupled with the shear resistance makes boutique magnets an ideal choice for securing signage and retail POS material and displays.

Our rubber-coated boutique magnets are available in a range of diameters with different fixings or apertures to suit a wide array of use in a variety of situations.

Magnetic rubber covered magnets

Magnetic rubber is flexible anisotropic magnetic material made of rubber base plastic and strontium ferrite powder. Compared to magnetic sheets, magnetic rubber is more flexible, has better magnetic properties, and higher working temperature.

Magnetic rubber is made in two executions - Flexo 150 and Flexo 180, both types are non-toxic and comply with the standard EN 71/3 with regard to migration of heavy metals.

Magnetization of magnetic rubber is possible in two ways: one-side multipolar and axial magnetization.

When magnetizing the material axially, the maximum width is 440 mm.

When magnetizing the magnetic rubber one-side multipolarity, it is possible to increase the holding force by applying for a steel backing plate on the non-magnetic side.

This way it is possible to increase the holding force by 2 - 3 times.

Magnetic rubber can be machined using standard hand-tools - saw, cut, stamp, drill, etc.

Best used in a shear position, rubber-coated pot magnets have a superior slide resistance over regular magnets due to the increased friction generated between rubber and smooth steel surface.

Corrosion is the most common reason for a failing magnet.

By adding a rubber-coating to a magnet you increase its resistance to corrosion and what’s more they are safe to use on easily marked surfaces without scratching.

Typical applications include suspending outdoor cameras, heavy-duty gate and door latches, hanging signage and mounting sensors.

Rubber coated magnets with adhesive on one side are used for projects where drill holes are not an option.

A strong adhesive is used for this rubber magnet to ensure the best possible quality and fastening.

Soft rubber material prevents marks and scratches from appearing during mounting.

The rubber magnet is part of our quality series Protego that provides the necessary certainty regarding magnetic force and durability.

Holding force for this magnet with adhesive is reduced due to the double adhesive tape.

Holding forces reach up to 30 Newton.

An alternative to this magnet could be the rubber-coated magnet with adhesive and bore in the dimension D31 mm.

Apply our rubber magnet systems with caution due to the high magnetic strength.

The holding forces have been determined at room temperature on a polished plate made of steel (S235JR according to DIN 10 025) with a thickness of 10 mm by pulling the magnet vertically from the surface (1kg~10N).

A deviation of -10 % (max.) in the stated values is possible in exceptional cases.
